Review of the Seventh Trappist Ale: Achel
Published Friday, March 28, 2008 by Taylor Marshall | E-mail this post

Now that Lent is other and we are happily enjoying the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I tried
the Achel that my friend Reev Rhoter found for me.
Here's the review.
Dark ruddy color. Comfortable nose.
Nutty taste. Strong licorice flavor - almost like Jagermeister! Hint of bean. Meat in the after taste. Heavy. Hints of banana. Very interesting beer. I haven't had one that tastes like it.
